The American Society of Plant Taxonomists (ASPT) has created an
Herbarium Emergency Fund to provide support for herbaria that have
sustained damage as a consequence of natural disasters, such as the
devastation caused by hurricane Katrina. An ad hoc committee has been
created to evaluate requests for assistance and identify additional ways
that ASPT can provide financial or volunteer assistance.
